In this episode, I’m inviting you to listen to a very unique and, in many ways, unexpected career unfolding. My client Niamh is a musician and, as we jokingly called her, a career ‘returner’. After many twists and turns, using the holistic process, she found her way back to her first love - music.
We will discuss:
-How Niamh’s identity as a musician was initially built upon external validation and how it eventually lead to creative, emotional, and physical burn-out.
-About the disconnect between dreaming big and taking action. Niamh shares how she needed to learn to build a bridge toward her vision by taking the small daily steps.
-We talk about her transformed relationship with energy and how she’d feel tired all the time until she learnt how to work with her mind and how she developed a life-changing skill of questioning the thoughts she used to take for granted.
-We also speak about resistance - and how she realized how sometimes she mistook basic resistance towards something new as her intuition not to pursue things.
-We discuss breaking the rules and giving ourselves permission to create new landscapes. For Niamh, it was about recreating the musical landscape - which was in her words one of the most liberating experiences.
